This is a step-by-step guide to installing an optional, model-specific HEX ezCAN PURE plug & play input harness on Kove 800X models.
Kove 001 optional plug & play input harness packaging:
Plug & play harnesses are currently available for the following Kove motorcycles:
- 800X (2024 onward)
- 800X Rally (2025 onward)
- 800X Pro (2026 onward)
- 800X Touring (2026 onward)

The generic HEX ezCAN PURE installation guide contains all the general procedures you need to install a HEX ezCAN PURE on your Kove 800X.

IMPORTANT: All disassembly and reassembly instructions on this page are to be regarded as a guide only. For detailed instructions, refer to your motorcycle’s service or workshop manual as appropriate.

- Remove the trim panel forward of the fuel filler cap (left).
- Remove the left-side and right-side upper crash bars (red arrow, right).
- Remove the left-side and right-side fairing panels forward of the fuel tank (green arrow, right).
- Disconnect the 2-pin JWPF connectors connecting the left and right front turn signals to the motorcycle’s wiring harness.
- The battery is located under the left-side fairing panel.
- The wiring harness connector for the tail light is located under the rear portion of the seat, to the right of the engine ECU (red arrow, left).
- The wiring harness connector for the tail light is a white, 3-pin JWPF connector.
- The 4-pin JWPF connector is not used for optional plug-&-play harness installation.
- The white 4-pin headlight connector is located under the left-side fairing panel (red arrow, right).
- The wiring harness connector for the tail light is located under the rear portion of the seat, to the right of the engine ECU (red arrow, right).
- The wiring harness connector for the tail light is a white, 3-pin JWPF connector.
- The 4-pin JWPF connector is not used for optional plug-&-play harness installation.
- The white 4-pin headlight connector is located under the left-side fairing panel (red arrow, below).
- The horn is located on the front right side of the engine, below the radiator (red arrow, below).

When installing a HEX ezCAN PURE on Kove 800X models, there are two recommended installation points for the HEX ezCAN device:
- Underneath the trim panel forward of the fuel filler cap.
- Underneath the left-side fairing panel, in the vicinity of the battery.
Our experience has shown that either of these placements give the best combination of input connector placement, battery cable slack, ease of access to the USB port and status LED, and protection from damage.
Step 4: Connect the Optional Plug & Play Input Harness to the HEX ezCAN PURE

Connect the 6-pin male JWPF connector on the optional plug & play input harness to the HEX ezCAN PURE’s 6-pin female JWPF connector (below).

Per prima cosa, spegnere l'interruttore di accensione della motocicletta.
Next, connect the input connectors on the Plug & play harness to the motorcycle as follows:
Splitter HIGH BEAM (destra):
- Scollegare i connettori maschio e femmina a 4 pin del faro della motocicletta situati sotto il pannello della carenatura anteriore sinistra.
- Collegare il connettore femmina dello splitter abbaglianti HEX alla spina maschio del cablaggio della motocicletta.
- Collegare il connettore maschio dello splitter abbaglianti HEX alla spina femmina del cablaggio della motocicletta.
- Riporta con attenzione il cavo blu dell'acceleratore all'HEX ezCAN PURE seguendo il percorso dei cavi esistenti e dei tubi del telaio.
Dividitore LUCE POSTERIORE (sinistra):
- Connect the male single-pin connector on the HEX ezCAN tail light splitter to the female tail light trigger connector (red wire) on the optional plug-&-play wiring harness.
- Disconnect the motorcycle’s 3-pin JWPF connectors located under the rear portion of the seat, to the right of the engine ECU.
- Connect the female JWPF connector on the tail light splitter to the male JWPF wiring harness plug on the motorcycle.
- Connect the male JWPF connector on the tail light splitter to the female JWPF wiring harness plug on the motorcycle.
- Carefully route the sheathed red trigger wire back to the HEX ezCAN PURE along existing wiring harness runs and frame tubes.
Splitter INDICATORI DI DIREZIONE:
Collegare e instradare i cavi dello splitter degli indicatori di direzione come segue:
- Connect the optional plug-&-play harness’ JWPF turn signal splitter with black wire between the JWPF connectors for the left front turn signal.
- Connect the optional plug-&-play harness’ JWPF turn signal splitter with brown wire between the JWPF connectors for the right front turn signal.
- Riportare con cura i cavi di attivazione degli indicatori di direzione all'HEX ezCAN PURE lungo i cablaggi esistenti e i tubi del telaio.
Splitter HORN:
- Connect the male single-pin connector on the green horn trigger wire (red arrow, below) to the female horn trigger connector on the main plug-&-play input harness.
- Remove the spade terminal with red wire from the factory horn (below).
- Collegare il terminale a forcella maschio+femmina dello splitter del clacson al terminale maschio esposto sul clacson (sotto).
- Collegare il terminale a forcella femmina scollegato al terminale maschio esposto sullo splitter dell'avvisatore acustico (sotto).
- Riportare con cura il cavo dello splitter dell'avvisatore acustico all'HEX ezCAN PURE lungo i cablaggi esistenti e i tubi del telaio.

Per garantire che HEX ezCAN PURE offra prestazioni ottimali, regolare i suoi ingressi di controllo come segue:
- Set the input inversion settings and threshold voltage values as seen in Step 2C of the HEX ezCAN PURE Software Download & Configuration Guide.
